Summit's Roto-Sonic Rig Quietly Takes Care Of Business
Master Driller John Coyle and Driller Dan Ninevski made short work of some tough geology. This powerful and compact Roto-Sonic technology quickly penetrated an initial layer of shale and proceeded to extend two additional lengths to retrieve perfect soil samples. Each 5-foot sample was meticulously collected in plastic sleeves. Demonstration attendees were encouraged to take a close look at the distinct color changes from sample to sample indicating the change in the subsurface material. The speed and efficiency of the Roto-Sonic rig was impressive. Almost unnoticeable was a very important feature. Three perfect samples were produced without a single drum on site for waste cuttings. Additionally, this technology is nearly hands-free with no turning augers or manual casing connections making it extraordinarily safe!
