[+] Roto-Sonic Drill Model: S-27CRS (Sonic)

Dimensions: 20’ x 8h x 9’ w, 15,000lbs
Capabilities: Sonic drilling with continuous core sampling of overburden in difficult terrain. Virtually no use of air, water or mud. Roto-Sonic function produces 1,275 ft/ lbs of Torque, 0-205 rpm, 150 Hz & 22,400 lbs of Force

Scenarios of Use

  • The wide, soft rubber track undercarriage can be used in difficult terrain and difficult access locations. In certain conditions, sonic drilling is two to three times faster than conventional drilling. The speed advantage of sonic drilling over convential drilling is achieved when high frequency vibrations fluidize soil particles at the bit, allowing penetration in most geological formations.
